Overview
Renovation plumbing planned with the room, not around it
The plumbing in a good renovation is invisible when it is finished and obvious when it was rushed. Better Value works with homeowners, cottage owners and contractors across Muskoka and Simcoe County on bathroom and kitchen renovations, additions, basement builds and full remodels, planning the rough in with the finished layout in mind.
Getting involved early saves money. Drain slope, vent routing, joist locations, fixture centres and where the water heater or manifold sits all constrain what a layout can actually do. Knowing that before the tile order goes in prevents the expensive mid project changes that derail renovation budgets.
We handle the rough in, coordinate with your other trades around inspection timing, and return for the finish plumbing once surfaces are in. Everything is completed to current Ontario code so inspections pass the first time and the work behind the wall is not something you think about again.

Questions
Plumbing Renovations: questions & answers
When should I involve a plumber in my renovation?+
At the design stage, before fixtures and layout are finalized. That is when changes are still free.
Can I move a toilet or shower to a new location?+
Often yes, but drain slope and venting decide how far and in which direction. We can tell you quickly whether a proposed location is practical.
Do you work with my contractor?+
Yes. We regularly work as the plumbing trade on renovations managed by general contractors, and we can also coordinate directly with homeowners.
Will the work need a permit and inspection?+
Most renovation plumbing that alters drains or adds fixtures does. We complete the work to code so inspections go smoothly.
Do you do cottage bathroom renovations?+
Yes, and we plan the supply and drain layout so the system can still be drained and winterized properly.
